The ACT 2 Theatre Company announces the cast for their fall show, Stone Touchin’ by Donald Fidler.

 

Stone Touchin’ takes place in a North Carolina Piedmont rural cemetery in 1955 where a young boy named Howard Lee has a unique ability. He is able to touch grave stones and hear the deceased speak their stories and, at times, talk with them. As the living visitors to the cemetery and the dead reveal their secrets, confess frustrations, and ponder tragedies the soul of a small farming community is revealed.

 

Cast is as follows:

 

Howard Lee – Loki Agamemnon Hall;

Reverend Phil – Steve Goff;

Lukas – Hunter Riley;

Ray Joe – John Hall;

Margie Amos – Cricket Hall;

Janie Amos – Misty Wills;

Post Mistress Elizabeth Hanson – Cyndy Simons-Straight;

Gravediggers– Fred Spicer and Richie Stull.

 

In addition to the actors, the production staff includes a number of very experienced and talented people as well. Director – Lydia Mong; Stage Manager – Kaici Ellison; Technical Director – Rex Kelch; Properties – Sara Zannino; Costume Design – Beth Allen; Light Tech – Cheryl Kelch; Producer / House Manager / Set Decoration – Victor Folio; and Artistic Consultant – Jason Trader.

 

Stone Touchin’ will be performed October 15-18, 22-25 at the Friedlander’s Center, 534 West Main Street in Clarksburg, WV (location of Starving Artists Studio). Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances begin at 2:00 p.m. Seating is cafe style. Cost is $10 per person. Groups of 8 persons may reserve a table for $70. Reservations are required if you want to reserve a table. For individuals and smaller groups, reservations are recommended, but not required.
