“Maybe now it’s time…” Robinson Grand Community Theatre proudly presents Annie, the Musical on December 13th at 7:30pm, December 14th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm, and December 15th at 2:00pm.

Annieis a heart-warming tale of an orphan finding hope for tomorrow as she goes on a whirlwind adventure with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Set in 1933 during the Great Depression, this hit Broadway musical features well-known favorites such as "Hard-Knock Life," "Tomorrow," "Maybe," "Little Girls," and "Easy Street." Audiences will want to sing along to this classic holiday favorite steeped in history and full of laughter for the entire family!

A cast of over 60 members hailing from the surrounding counties of Doddridge, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor joins their impeccable talent together for the inaugural production of Annie. Produced by Emily Moore and under the artistic direction of David Cotton-Zinn and Michelle Graham, the show is vocal directed by Joshua Stubbs and choreographed by Kim Bell with technical direction by Bobby Rexroad.

“I can’t think of a better show than Annie to kick-off Robinson Grand Community Theatre and the revival of live large-scale community theatre in the historic Robinson Grand. Right now we are in full production mode and more than 200 people from across the region are working hard to prepare and deliver this holiday gift to Clarksburg. I am excited and honored to be a part of that,” states Artistic Director, David Cotton-Zinn.

Not only is this the first large-scale community theatre production for the Robinson Grand, but it is also the first time for the orchestra pit to get used in grand fashion. The pit will be filled with a ten-piece live orchestra—the Robinson Grand Orchestra—led by orchestra director, Dr. Austin Seybert, a former Harrison county resident. The musicians are several talented locals as well as professionals from outside the area.

“The grand nature of a large live orchestra is not one to miss and when we knew community theatre was a go, live music was very important to us. We knew we had to make it happen,” explains Emily Moore, RGCT program director.

Audiences can expect the nostalgia of the musical theatre classic and the joy that it brings, but also some surprises along the way with stunning set and lighting designs, colorful costumes, and the spectacle that only musical theatre can provide. Don’t miss out on this special holiday event!
