The 14^th Annual BMS Idol competition was held last week at Bridgeport Middle School. An original 40 contestants had been narrowed to 12 before the May 26 finals which took placed before the student body and a panel of judges. After narrowing finalists to the top four, it was Emily Aman and Emma Perine who ultimately shared the title. 

 

The video below features five of the final acts, as well as an encore performance by 2015 BMS Idol Jordan Rae. In order, the performances are:

 

Kaliea Golf singing Adele’s “Someone Like You;”

 

Corrine Yurkovich singing Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me;”

 

Ty Gandy playing “Mary Did You Know” on piano;

 

Khlyer Leisure singing “The House of the Rising Sun”

 

Kamden Dulaney singing and dancing to Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition;”

 

Catherine Gray singing Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love;”

 

Jordan Rae singing “Confident” by Demi Lovato

 

We regret that Cindy Sickles and Denae Terry’s performance of “This is Gospel” by Panic at the Disco is omitted. The file was unusable. If submitted to us, we will be glad to include and post on our site.
