Everyone looks suspicious. And that’s just how it’s supposed to be at the First Annual Murder Mystery Dinner and Play, sponsored by BHS DECA and the Vintage Theatre Company.  The event will take place in the BHS Cafeteria on October 11 at 6:00 and includes a complete dinner while the participants are actively involved in the play.

“The play, ‘A Deadly Affair’, tells the story of a wealthy Manhattan socialite who is throwing a lavish party,” says director Jason Young.  A series of unusual characters attend the dinner, with talk of inheritances, revenge and infidelity as possible motives for the impending doom of one of the characters.  Those who attend will mingle with the actors to try to determine who was killed and what the motive was for the unfortunate event of the evening.

“It’s a unique opportunity to have dinner and a show and to be more than just a spectator,” said DECA President Haleigh Mardos.  “We are raising funds to send students to marketing competitions in the spring and we wanted to offer a creative fundraiser to reach our goals.”

After dining with the actors and interviewing them, the table that figures the mystery out first will win prizes.  Tickets for the event are available by calling 304-203-1433 or by emailing bridgeportdeca@gmail.com.
