City Faces in Different Places

Please take a moment to get to know this week's City Face, Bill Tomasik.
 
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Fifty years, Bill is a 1974 Notre Dame High School.  In 1978 he graduated from WVU with a Chemistry degree and in 1981 he received his O.D. from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
 
Children? Bill has three children – Shae, 17, will be a senior at BHS.  She plays softball and the piano. Cody, 13, will be in 8th grade at BMS; he plays baseball and football.  Casey, 12, will be in 6th grade at BMS and plays baseball and the saxophone.
 
What is your favorite color? Blue
 
Where do you work? Bill has an optometry practice in Gassaway.
 
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Bill appreciates the nice sports fields in Bridgeport.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Canaan Valley and Dolly Sods are favorites for Bill.  He likes the wilderness and enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing in these areas.
 
Favorite place outside of WV?  Saskatchewan, Canada for its remoteness and hunting.  You may be the only person that has stepped in any given spot due to its isolated location. 
 
Favorite restaurant?  Olive Garden
 
Best childhood memory? Growing up on his grandmother’s dairy farm
 
Favorite musical group?  Bill enjoys Contemporary Christian music.
 
Hobbies? Hunting, fishing, golfing and watching his children play sports.
 
Interesting fact about you? When Bill was a senior in high school, he caddied for Sam Snead at Bridgeport Country Club for the WV Open.
