City Faces in Different Places

Please take a moment to meet this week's City Face, Matt DeMotto:
 
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Nineteen years
 
Where are you originally from? Matt is originally from Coalton, West Virginia.  He’s a 1985 graduate of Coalton High School and a 1990 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Education and a minor in Biology.  His first teaching job was teaching Biology at Washington Irving High School. 
 
Are you married? Yes, to Stacey. Stacey is 1987 Parkersburg High School graduate and she attended Indiana University. 
 
Children? Two sons, Carson, 14, is a freshman at BHS.  He plays football.  Quinn, 11, is in fifth grade at Johnson.  Carson enjoys swimming and baseball.
 
What is your favorite color? Red
 
Where do you work? Vice Principal and Athletic Director at BHS
 
Favorite Bridgeport spot? His own backyard is his favorite place.  He enjoys the privacy and nature.
 
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Mountaineer Field, as it holds many great memories with friends from near and far.  It’s a fun reunion spot to meet up with old friends on game days.
 
Favorite place outside of WV? Bermuda because of its clean, beautiful beaches, nice climate and friendly atmosphere.
 
Favorite restaurant? Wonder Bar
 
Best childhood memory? Eating dinner together was a priority for his family and his mother was an excellent cook.    He cherishes those times.
 
Favorite music?  Classic rock, he loves the Rolling Stones.
 
Pets?  A Border Collie mix named Scout.
 
Hobbies? Golf and spending time with his family; his job keeps him busy with high school sports many days during the week.
 
Interesting fact about you?  Matt finished in the top ten in his high school class… out of 28.
