City Faces in Different Places

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Norma moved to Bridgeport in 1948.  Norma is a 1962 BHS graduate.
 
Where are you originally from? Morgantown, WV. 
 
Are you married? Yes, to Richard Duez.  Richard is a 1962 Notre Dame High School graduate.  They have been married for 52 years.  They were married at All Saints Catholic Church by Father Carroll. 
 
Children? Yes, Sheri and Matt.  Sheri lives in Clarksburg, Maryland and is married to Tim Hyatt.  They have two sons, Christopher and Alex.  Sheri is a 1984 BHS graduate.  Matt lives in Bridgeport and is married to Michelle.  They have three sons, Michael, Mark and Mitchell that attend Bridgeport schools. Matt is a 1987 BHS graduate.
 
What is your favorite color? Red
 
Where do you work? Norma retired from the City of Bridgeport on April 23, 2015.  She was the billing manager for the water department. She worked for the city for 37 years. 
 
Favorite Bridgeport spot? The Bridgeport Rec Complex because it’s a nice place to walk and always has a great breeze.  She has watched her grandsons play baseball and run cross country at the complex. 
 
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Harrisville because she like to see what treasurers she can find at Berdine’s Five and Dime.  She says there is something for everyone at the store. She also appreciates the look back into the past.
 
Favorite place outside of WV? Norma enjoys antiquing in Gettysburg and York, Pennsylvania.
 
Favorite restaurant? Hofbrauhaus in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania – she likes the German food and friendly atmosphere.
 
Best childhood memory? Norma fondly remembers being with her family at her grandmother’s house in Morgantown on holidays and weekends.
 
Favorite musical group? Enya and Celine Dion
 
Pets? None
 
Hobbies? Watching her grandchildren grow up and participate in sports and cross stitching
 
Interesting fact about you? Norma worked for the City of Bridgeport for 35 years without a sick day.  Norma helps plan her BHS class reunions with Gene Compton and Jim Simmons.
