City Faces in Different Places

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Don has lived in Bridgeport since 1987. 
 
Where are you originally from? Don was born in Tuscon, Arizona and graduated from high school in Winter Park, Florida.  Don’s father was in the Air Force and they moved frequently.
 
Are you married? Yes, to Kym.  They were married in Charleston, WV in 1983.  Kym is originally from Charleston.
 
Children? Don and Kym have three children, Grant and Sarah.  Grant is a physical therapy assistant at Bridgeport Physical Therapy.  Sarah is a Mako plastic specialist for Stryker Corporation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. JJ is a professor at UNLV.  
 
What is your favorite color? Blue
 
Where do you work? Don is the Director of Bridgeport Parks and Recreation and the Bridgeport Cemetery.
 
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Don enjoys the comforts of his home and being with family.  He also enjoys all City Park.
 
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Don believes West Virginia is beautiful and he appreciates all the state parks, etc.
 
Favorite place outside of WV? Any beach
 
Favorite restaurant? Mountaineer Grille
 
Best childhood memory? When Don was in elementary school, his family lived in Spain.  He fondly remembers traveling in Europe.
 
Favorite musical group? Don’s radio dial is tuned to country music.
 
Pets? Don and Kym are the guardians of their children’s dogs, a Doberman named Phoenix and a mixed breed named Draco.
 
Hobbies? Photography and outdoor activities
 
Interesting fact about you? Don went to Morris Harvey College, which is now University of Charleston, on a rowing scholarship.  He was selected to attend the National Pairs Rowing Camp, an opportunity offered to elite rowers.
