City Faces in Different Places

By Hannah Edwards on December 16, 2018 from City Faces via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Take a moment to meet this week’s City Face, Liz Holtz.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? About 8 years

Where are you originally from? I’m from the tiny little town of Melcroft, Pennsylvania... I went to Connellsville High School and grew up minutes from Seven Springs.

Are you married? Yes, to Jason Holtz.

Children? 2 energetic boys! Jackson is 11 and Gideon is 5.

What is your favorite color? Pink and anything glittery!

Where do you work? I work at Bridgeport Middle School where I teach seventh grade math to some of my favorite people! I can’t imagine working any other job! I love my middle schoolers! I also have a phenomenal team of teachers, administrators, and other school staff that make going to work enjoyable!

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Bridgeport City Park or Almost Heaven Desserts

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Valley Falls or Seneca Rocks

Favorite place outside of WV? My favorite place outside of WV is probably the outer banks where we vacation with family and friends. I love relaxing on the beach!

Favorite restaurant? Muriale’s.

Best childhood memory? I sure miss my grandma. Every Saturday morning, I would help her cook up a big meal while we watched my dad, uncles and grandpa work the farm. I got my love of cooking from helping in her kitchen!

Favorite musical group? Lauren Daigle, Francesca Battistelli, Bethel Music

Pets? None

Hobbies? I enjoy making shirts, earrings, etc with my silhouette machine.

Interesting fact about you? When my first son was born I quickly found out the cost of having photos taken, so my husband bought me a nice camera for Christmas.  Photography quickly turned into a passion and a hobby of mine. I enjoy taking pictures of my friends’ families!
