City Faces in Different Places

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 28, 2021 from City Faces via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This week's Bridgeport City Face is Amy Callahan. Meet her and her family here!

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? If not a lifelong resident, tell me what brought you here.
I moved here from Michigan in September 2020 for my husband’s new position at The Bridge. We were tired of the Michigan weather and wanted something warmer.

Are you married, have kids? Tell me about your family.
Married to Droo for 16 years. Allison (14), Lindsey (12), Trey (11), & Evelyn(9)

What about pets?
We have Buster that is a Beagle/Basset mix and the laziest dog you will ever meet. We also have a cat named Kitty.

Where do you work and what do you do there?
I was just hired as the Recreation Coordinator for the City of Bridgeport Parks & Rec.

What are your hobbies/favorite past times?
I enjoy playing soccer with my family, hiking, & golf.

I also love working on puzzles with Lindsey- the rest of the family is annoyed with our obsession.

Favorite Bridgeport spot?
The Bridge!

What do you like about Bridgeport … why is this a good place to live?
I enjoy the small town. People seem to be nicer and more laid back here.

One – or more – of your favorite memories of something that took place in Bridgeport ...
I’ve enjoyed going to the BHS soccer games with my younger kids to watch Allison play.

What is your favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?
We are still exploring the beautiful state, but so far my favorite place was whitewater rafting on the Lower.

How about your favorite place outside of WV?
Outer Banks, NC

What are some of your favorite things?
Coffee and RVing adventures with the family

Food/restaurant?
Skyline Chili 4-way with onions and hot sauce

Favorite color?
Green

Music genre/artist?
I like a variety, but I could listen to The Greatest Showman soundtrack all day!

What is your best childhood memory?
My favorite memories are from family beach vacations. We owned a boat that was less than reliable, and it often turned what should have been an enjoyable day on the water into adventures that we will never forget.
