City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on July 20, 2014 from City Faces via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Almost Heaven Desserts is a great place to relax and have a cup of coffee with friends.  This morning, I saw several friends, and met a new one as well, while making a visit.  Please take a moment to meet my new friend Adrea Leach.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Her entire life.  Adrea was in the class of 2000 at BHS attended WV Wesleyan College before transferring to WVU.  She obtained her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2008.

Are you married? Yes, to Adam Leach.  Adrea and Adam were married at Simpson Creek Baptist Church in 2006.  Adam is a 2002 graduate of Grafton High School.

Children? Yes, two.  Ansley, 5, will be attending Johnson Elementary for kindergarten this school year and Avery, 3, is in daycare at the FBI.

What is your favorite color? Fuschia

Where do you work? Adrea is a pediatric ICU nurse practitioner (PNP) at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Adrea loves Bridgeport City Park.  She likes the sense of community and she always finds friends.  She feels it’s a wonderful social spot where the entire family can take part in activities because there is something for everyone.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  If Adrea and her family are not in Bridgeport, chances are you might find them at Tygart Lake.  Adrea’s family has property where they camp frequently.  Ansley, Adrea’s daughter, likes going to the Poky Dot restaurant in Fairmont.

Favorite place outside of WV?  Adrea’s two picks outside of her home state are Hilton Head Island, SC and Captiva Island, Florida.  Both are less commercial beach communities and very family oriented.  They have frequented the South Seas Island Resort.

Favorite restaurant? Las Trancas

Favorite musical group? Contemporary Christian and Country are what plays on Adrea's radio.   Keith Urban and Laura Story are two of her favorite artists.

Pets? The Leaches have a cat named Mia.

Hobbies? Adrea loves to sing.  She was a member of Concert Chorale at WV Wesleyan College.  Daughter Ansley likes gymnastics and son Avery likes to ride anything with wheels.  This fall her daughter Ansley will be cheering for MYF football.

Interesting fact about you?  Cooking is a passion for Adrea.  She once won the Italian Heritage Festival’s Pasta Cookoff with her delicious Chicken Alfredo.
