At today’s “Keep Your Eyes on the Sky” astronomy club meeting, young space enthusiasts made their own miniature rockets, launched them and calculated their distance into the galaxy.

 

The hands-on topic provided lessons in science, mathematics and creativity – not to mention plenty of fun.

 

Students in grades 2 through 6 take part in the club which meets the fourth Saturday of each month at St. Barnabus Episcopal Church, Hall Street, Bridgeport.
