A combined effort of local small businesses and artisans, A Merry Little Christmas Market will be held Sunday, Dec. 12 at The Wonder Bar Steak House. Not only can attendees purchase unique gift items, but they will also be treated to seasonal refreshments, children’s activities and even gift wrapping.

 

The event is hosted by Roaming Roots Plant Shop, Eighteenth Avenue and C&H Expressions. Vendors joining host businesses include the Lunchbox Food Truck, Artworks, Mo Baby, Hawke Design Shop, Milomuffins, Brooke Jewell Studio, Sunmoon Apparel, Foxy Fonts, Rodfather Creations, Earth & Air, Wildflower Studio, Daisy Green Photography, Appalachia Curated, 310 Soap Co. and Molly Pops. More vendors will be added as the event draws closer, said Leslie Toothman, owner of Roaming Roots and market co-organizer. Since opening her own business a few months ago, she said she has met so many inspiring new small business owners and that’s what set the wheels in motion for the Dec. 12 market.

 

 “The most inspiring part has been to see the way they support each other instead of competing. That’s what this market is all about. That, and also, giving back to the community for the support they’ve given us,” she said.

 

A Merry Little Christmas Market will be open 12-4 p.m. Santa Claus will be on hand from 1-3 p.m.

 

Vendor browsing and dining space will be available inside and on the heated outdoor patio, which will be decorated for the occasion.
