The Associated Businesses of Bridgeport has elected a new slate of officers. Serving as president is Brad Ford of Ford Funeral Home and Doug Marquette of  Nationwide Insurance/Marquette Agency will serve as vice president. Secretary/Treasurer is Lisa Lang of About You Monograms and additional board members are Katie Squires, recreation coordinator for Bridgeport Parks and Recreation; Hilary Gonzalez of Kaufman Realty and Auctions; Megan Lindsey of  MPB Bridgeport; Mark Bonamico of Bonamico Construction and Kelly Rolstead of WIC.

 

The ABB is excited for this year’s events, which include the 2^nd Annual Summer Kickoff, the Derek Hotsinpiller Fallen Stars 5K, National Night Out, the Main Street Scarecrow Display/Contest and Light Up Night. The organization is active in all the above-mentioned events and hosts the Summer Kickoff and Light Up Night.

 

In honor of former Secretary/Treasurer Melinda Lindsey, who passed away in March, the ABB now awards the Melinda Lindsey Scholarship to a Bridgeport High School senior. This year, there are two winners: Madelyn Lalama and Michaela Perri, both of whom were recently awarded $500 on behalf of the ABB.
