ABB Elects Board Members; Awards Scholarships in Memory of Melinda Lindsey

The Associated Businesses of Bridgeport has elected a new slate of officers. Serving as president is Brad Ford of Ford Funeral Home and Doug Marquette of  Nationwide Insurance/Marquette Agency will serve as vice president. Secretary/Treasurer is Lisa Lang of About You Monograms and additional board members are Katie Squires, recreation coordinator for Bridgeport Parks and Recreation; Hilary Gonzalez of Kaufman Realty and Auctions; Megan Lindsey of  MPB Bridgeport; Mark Bonamico of Bonamico Construction and Kelly Rolstead of WIC.
 
The ABB is excited for this year’s events, which include the 2nd Annual Summer Kickoff, the Derek Hotsinpiller Fallen Stars 5K, National Night Out, the Main Street Scarecrow Display/Contest and Light Up Night. The organization is active in all the above-mentioned events and hosts the Summer Kickoff and Light Up Night.
 
In honor of former Secretary/Treasurer Melinda Lindsey, who passed away in March, the ABB now awards the Melinda Lindsey Scholarship to a Bridgeport High School senior. This year, there are two winners: Madelyn Lalama and Michaela Perri, both of whom were recently awarded $500 on behalf of the ABB.
