For the past few years, Boxing it Up to Give Thanks has provided boxed Thanksgiving Day meals to hundreds of people across the region. Originating in Bridgeport by then BHS student Hannah Provoznik, the program has grown to include volunteers from several West Virginia counties.

 

Local businesses are getting in on the action. Again this year, About You Monograms is collecting donations and offering a 20 percent discount off in-stock purchases for anyone who contributes.

 

“Last year, we donated over $500,” said Owner Lisa Lang. “It costs approximately $30 per box, so we hope to provide 20 boxes this year.”

 

The promotion runs throughout October 2021.
