Area Business Networking Group Contributes to Clarksburg Mission Mattress Fund

The West Virginia Business Network, made up of representatives of area businesses, at its last meeting, made a contribution to the Clarksburg Mission to further its goal of replacing the mattresses currently in use by those requesting shelter.  The Mission is working diligently to replace all 50 mattresses utilized by the shelter as the current mattresses have become worn due to extensive use.  Every week hundreds of people in our area utilize the services of the shelter, and with the colder months upon us, it is important that they have a warm and comfortable place to sleep.

“The West Virginia Business Network is always looking for ways to help those in need,” said Nathan Price, President of the WVBN.  “Being able to assist the Clarksburg Mission with its mattress fundraiser was a unanimous decision.  It is our hope and prayer that our contribution will provide a good night’s sleep to persons without a home.”

With the ever-increasing need of resources, charities such as the Clarksburg Mission rely on the contributions from the community, including businesses that show support for their cause.  It is the hope of the members that other businesses within our community will see their generosity and help the Mission push close to its goal of replacing those mattresses and go even further.

"One of the primary focuses of the business network is to support the communities we all live in.  Not only are we trying to develop business relationships, but we are developing long-lasting personal relationships with people that have families within our community.  Any way we can enhance the livelihood of those around us will have a positive impact on everyone."

“The Mission welcomes the contribution from WVBN and appreciates the dedication thatthey have to our organization and the community they do business in,” stated Lou Ortenzio of the Mission.

The West Virginia Business Network was founded as a way for local businesses to come together to further their goals, including sharing business leads and making a positive impact on the community.  With representatives in the financial, sales, advertising, business supply, insurance, legal and many other fields, the group works together to further develop each individual business and its impact on the local economy.  The group meets officially on the second Wednesday of each month at the Bridgeport Best Western, other like-minded individuals are encouraged to attend.
