BHS Alumna Gianina Renzelli Among Recent Graduates from UHC School of Radiologic Technology

United Hospital Center School of Radiologic Technology recently held a Commencement Luncheon for the 2020 graduates. Diplomas were presented to 12 students, including 2017 Bridgeport High School graduate Gianina Renzelli, from Program Director, Rosemary Trupo and Clinical Instructors, Jane Bray, B.S., R.T. and Lisa Knight, R.T.
 
Meagan Shreves, R.T. (R), Staff Technologist at United Hospital Center, served as guest speaker for the Radiologic Technology commencement, while the class address was delivered by Savannah Thorn.
 
Special presentations included Radiography Clinical Excellence Award and Radiography Academic Excellence Award presented to graduate Abigail Rickman, and the Laurie D’Anselmi Technologist of the Year award to Mike Wagner, R.T. (R), staff technologist at United Hospital Center.
 
Graduates of the School of Radiologic Technology include Erin Barberio, daughter of Aaron Barberio of Bridgeport and Dr. Scott and Tiffany Ross of Fairmont; Anastasia Benedum, daughter of Jennifer and Christopher Parr of Fairmont;  Trad Harman, Son of Bobby Jack and Diana Harman of Petersburg;  Breanna Helmick, daughter of Stephen and Sandra Helmick of Fairmont; Zoe Holt, daughter of Ryan Holt and Sally Holt of Shinnston;  Kendra Lee, daughter of Andrew Lee and Billie Jo Brooks of Weston;  Courtney Parker, daughter of Steve and Debbie Parker of Moorefield;  Madison Perry, daughter of Rob Perry and Janet Schmidt of Fairmont;  Kathryn Reed, daughter of  Rick and Lisa Reed of Beverly;  Gianina Renzelli, daughter of Julio and Tammy Renzelli of Bridgeport;  Abigail Rickman, daughter of Rick and Beth Rickman of Buckhannon; and Savannah Thorn, daughter of Allen and Davina Thorn of Grafton.
 
Barberio, Benedum and Rickman will attend UHCDiagnostic Medical Sonography Program, while Renzelli will attend the WVUH Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program.  Harman will enroll in the Charles J. Tegtmeyer School of Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.  Several of the graduates have accepted employment as staff radiographers by United Hospital Center.
