BREAKING: Fairmont Robber Charged with Bridgeport Armed Bank Robbery

BRIDGEPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS ISSUED THE FOLLOWING PRESS RELEASE:
 
In relation to the Fairmont WesBanco armed robbery today, the Bridgeport Police Department, in conjunction with the Fairmont Police, West Virginia State Police, FBI, and ATF have obtained a warrant for the arrest of William Arney Amos, 34, of Shinnston. This warrant charges Amos with 1st Degree Robbery (Bank) that occurred at the Bridgeport White Oaks, Huntington Bank on July 7. 
 
After the Fairmont WesBanco robbery, a West Virginia State Trooper located the suspect's vehicle, performed a traffic stop and took the suspect into custody. Bridgeport detectives were notified of the robbery due to the involvement of a blue four-door sedan similar to the car police were looking for from the previous robbery. After traveling to Fairmont, Lt. Gary Weaver of the Bridgeport Police Department, along with assisting agencies, interviewed Amos which led to the issuance of the arrest warrant.
