At Monday's Bridgeport City Council meeting, the Bridgeport High School girls and boys track teams were recognized for capturing their respective WVSSAC Class AA championships May 18-19 at Laidley Field in Charleston.

 

As seen in the video below, Mayor Andy Lang read and presented a proclamation for the teams' accomplishments.

 

The BHS track teams are coached by Jon Griffith and Emily Yurish (pictured with Mayor Lang and members of her team.)
