Bridgeport Resident, Well-Known and Well-Respected Attorney Ronald Herbert Hanlan Passes Away at 67

Ronald Herbert Hanlan, age 67, of Bridgeport passed away May 20, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 2, 1948 in Clarksburg; the son of the late Herbert Harold Hanlan and Mildred Frances (McDaniel) Hanlan.
 
Hanlan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela E. (Linder) Hanlan of Bridgeport; three sons, Matthew Hanlan of Bridgeport, Benjamin Hanlan & his wife, Kristen of Bridgeport, and Brandon Hanlan of Bridgeport; two daughters, Erin Hanlan of Bridgeport, and Kalin Hanlan of Bridgeport; four grandchildren, Paul Savidge, Eliza Hanlan, Briley Hanlan and Hudson Hanlan.
 
Ronald graduated in 1972 from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English/Psychology and in 1978 from Florida State University with his Law Degree. He worked for Fourco Glass Company as the Industrial Relations/Human Resources Assistant from 1972 – 1976, West Virginia State Tax Department as the Attorney from 1979 – 1981 and Steptoe & Johnson as the Business, Real Property, Commercial Transaction, Estate and Trust Attorney from 1981 – 2015.
 
Ronald was the President of the Clarksburg Planning and Zoning Commission, Harrison County Housing Authority Board of Directors, and the Clarksburg Art Center.
 
Family will receive Friends at Bridgeport United Methodist Church, 251 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. with Rev. Dr. Ken A. Ramsey, presiding. A private interment will take place at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
