Christin Cassidy Insani Wins "Sleepless in Bridgeport" Dinner/Dance Tickets; Photos from Event Shared

Timely for Valentine’s Day weekend, Bridgeport Conference Center hosted the “Sleepless in Bridgeport” dinner/dance Saturday, Feb. 17.
Connect- Bridgeport featured a contest, giving away a pair of tickets to the event.
The contest winner was Bridgeport's Christin Cassidy Insani, who attended with her husband, Mark.
"The attention to detail at the Conference Center was impressive. It was a very romantic setting and nice to see that the event wasn't comprised of just locals, but there were people there from Brooklyn, New York, Washington, DC, Charleston and Maryland," Insani said.
She thought the food was top-notch, from the shrimp tempura and polenta cake appetizer to the Nutella cheesecake.
Insani thought the complementary champagne was a very nice touch, but being nearly nine months pregnant, she passed on that offering.
The couple enjoyed both the caricatures and photo booth and were very glad they attended the event.
"It's nice to get dressed up and do something special with your spouse," Insani said. "Mark and I agreed that it was a very nice event and we need to attend more things like this within the community. I felt like we were in a bigger city and not just Bridgeport."
Ballroom doors opened at 6:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7:30 p.m. Attendees chose from a steak ravioli with asparagus, tomato-herb stuffed chicken or butter poached sole. Entrees were served with polenta cake with shrimp tempura, Caesar salad and choice of cherry tart Nutella cheesecake or buttermilk pie.
Delivering a life romantic comedy was The Fearless Fools. Couples also took pictures at a photo booth and had caricatures drawn by The Starving Artist.
Dance music was provided and a cash bar featuring specialty drinks was available.
For a nominal fee, some attendees opted to add on a night at the Courtyard by Marriott, located in Charles Pointe, just next door to Bridgeport Conference Center.
