Turnout was spectacular for this year's City of Bridgeport Easter Egg Hunt held Tuesday afternoon at Bridgeport City Park. Once all the egg hunters were gathered, Parks and Recreation Deputy Director Joe Shuttleworth led the countdown. Hundreds of children then scoured the ball fields and within minutes, 4,000 candy-filled eggs were securely in their baskets and bags. Those who found the golden eggs were awarded special prizes. The annual event is for children age 5 and under. All kids had a chance to visit with the Easter Bunny and many stayed afterwards for playground fun.
