County Clerk's Office Announces Early Voting Locations, Modifications

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 25, 2020 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

FROM HARRISON COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE

We have some good news and we have some bad news. Unfortunately we no longer have a location at Eastpointe but we will be having Early Voting at the courthouse beginning May 27 through June 6, 2020, the weekday hours will be as follows: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm; Saturday hours will be 9:00 am to 5 pm. You will need to enter the 3rd Street door next to the voter registration office.

Precautions are being taken to insure that persons entering the building do not present symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, be prepared to wait for entry into the building. Additionally, we are only allowed to have four (4) voters at a time in the office. Again, be prepared to wait. We apologize for the inconvenience but we want to make sure everyone stays safe and we are adhering to the guidelines of local and state health officials.

That’s the bad news; the good news is that we have secured a large spot at the Meadowbrook mall that will allow for more machines to be utilized. We will be located in the former Elder-Beerman Home store location at the northern end of the mall. Voting will take place during the same dates. The hours will be as follows: weekday hours will be 10am - 4pm; Saturday hours will be 10am - 5pm. We strongly encourage those that want to vote in person to take advantage of either of these locations.

If you don’t feel comfortable mailing your absentee ballot you may deliver it to either of these locations through the end of Early Voting on June 6th, we will have a ballot box that you may put them in. Remember we will have seven locations on Election Day with several precincts in them and again due to the circumstances of the current times there may be a wait.  If you have any questions concerning anything aforementioned, please call 304-624-8613.  Go Vote!!!
