The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County and the Barbara B. Highland Fund for the Arts, in partnership with The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center, are excited to announce three dynamic performances coming to downtown Clarksburg in the spring of 2024 at the historic Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center in Clarksburg.

 

With a flair for the wild and unexpected, the genre defying trio TAKE3 will be live on the Robinson Grand stage on Thursday, March 28. Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri brings his powerful one-man stage play A Bronx Tale to downtown Clarksburg on Saturday, April 13. One of America’s most popular handbell ensembles, The Raleigh Ringers, will present a free performance on Sunday, June 9.

TAKE3 brings the refinement of a rigorous classical music background and infuses it with rock-star charisma. Trained at the world’s top conservatories, TAKE3 has expanded their repertoire from Bach and Beethoven to Bieber and The Beach Boys. Known for their infectious joy and down to earth onstage personalities, this trio leaves their indelible mark on captivated crowds around the country performing their arrangements of top pop hits, Americana, and their signature classical mashups.

 

For one night only, experience the critically acclaimed, original one man show A Bronx Tale starring the author himself, Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri. Penned in 1988, Bronx-born and raised Palminteri’s powerful stage performance depicts his bruising childhood which included witnessing a gangland killing when he was nine years old. Palminteri skillfully brings each character to life (18 in all) in this autobiographical play – his friends, enemies, even his own family.

 

Noted for their creative, artistic, interpretation, The Raleigh Ringers have established themselves as America’s premiere professional handbell ensemble. Founded in 1990, The Raleigh Ringers is an Emmy-nominated, internationally-acclaimed concert handbell choir based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The group has been dazzling audiences with unique interpretations of sacred, secular, and popular music, including rock ‘n’ roll tunes that the group has become noted for, along with original compositions written just for The Raleigh Ringers.

 

The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County, established in 1972, strives to foster an arts-rich environment and to engage in the development and appreciation of all art forms, while also promoting the growth of artistic, cultural, and economic development.

 

The Barbara B. Highland Fund for the Arts provides funding to The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County for the engagement of fine arts presentations of a national scope in Harrison County, WV. The generous provisions of this endowment, by longtime resident and patron of the arts, the late Barbara Brennan Highland, is indeed a reflection of her fine character, personality, and love for her community.

 

Tickets for TAKE3 and A Bronx Tale went on sale to members of The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County and the “Friends of the Robinson Grand” on Tuesday and will be available to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12.
