FROM UNITED HOSPITAL CENTER

A story that best exemplifies the impact Tex E. Walton had on the people in his life, comes from a fundraiser his family held after his death to COVID-19.

They graciously donated an iPad and a Samsung Android Tablet to United Hospital Center (UHC), in memory of their father and grandfather.  Throughout his battle with COVID-19, the family was only able to communicate via cell phone, Google DUO, and FaceTime.

It was their experience, during his illness, which inspired them to take action.

The family wanted to give hope to other patients and families to have the opportunity to spend virtual time with their loved one.  Being able to see and hear your loved one’s voice gives hope and the patient the will to fight.
