Father and Son Tournaments is hosting a travel baseball tournament at Bridgeport Recreation Complex this weekend, September 23-24. The debut of this Bridgeport-based company is proud to announce Chenoweth Ford as the sponsor. Chenoweth Ford Tournament of Champions will have 22 teams broken into five age brackets.  Teams will be competing in each of 9U, 10U, 12U, 13U & a high school divisions. 

 

Admission is $3 per day and those under 12 are admitted free. Schedule, game results, and standings will be posted to www.fatherandsontournaments.com throughout the weekend for up-to-date information on the tournament. 

 

The slate for the tournament includes Saturday games beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing all day and Sunday games starting at 8 a.m. and playing toward the championship games in each division. Each team will play two games and based on those results will be seeded for a single elimination format ending with our champions. This is a non-sanctioned event and the participants are travel baseball teams from all over the state of West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Father and Son Tournaments was founded in 2016 by Robert Marra, Paul Paulsen and Terry Cole.  These three individuals have decades of experience serving the community of Bridgeport, managing youth teams, founding travel teams, running local leagues, hosting private tournaments and hosting West Virginia District and West Virginia State Little League Tournaments.

 

The company’s vision is to provide a top notch facility for highly competitive tournaments with a family atmosphere.  By creating this atmosphere, it is our desire that each person leave the tournament with a life long memory such as a father-son playing catch in the backyard.
