Inspired by Minions, Kids Get Creative at Kids Paint Camp 2016

Taught by Brenda Smith, Bridgeport Parks and Recreation's Kids Paint Day Camp at Benedum Civic Center resulted in an overflow of creativity. Thursday morning, classical music played as the aspiring young artists brushed colorful strokes on their canvases, learning about brush loading, dabbing and shadowing, among other techniques. Held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 19-22, the camp promoted creativity and basic crafting and painting techniques, featuring activities including acrylic painting and craft projects using various mediums on canvas, wood, slate and glass. Snacks were provided. On the final day, projects were displayed for parents to see. See a gallery of photos below.
