Key Club to Collect Canned Goods During BHS Homecoming Parade

By Trina Runner on September 26, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

While you are catching candy and waving at friends during the Homecoming Parade on September 28, keep an eye out for the BHS Key Club members.  They will be pushing grocery carts through the parade route, collecting canned food  to donate to Shepherd’s Corner and they are counting on parade attendees to help out.  Any non-perishable food item will be accepted and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Key Club is the world’s largest student led community service organization, boasting nearly 260,000 students.  Known for service projects with Unicef, March of Dimes and Children’s Miracle Network, the group also has a substantial impact on the local community.  BHS Key Clubbers spend each Wednesday volunteering with the residents of Meadowview Manor and are actively involved with the Kiwanis Club.
