Light Up Night has come and gone, leaving us with a lit-up city Christmas tree and plenty of memories. A spin-off of that event - Light Up Our City – can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season. Residents who decorated their homes have registered to be on the Light Up Our City tour map, found on the Visit Bridgeport app or on the web HERE. If you prefer a list, see below.

 

Throughout the weekend, families are invited to see the festive sights and try to solve this year’s holiday word puzzle. Throughout the tour, Jenny Reed of Card My Yard Bridgeport has placed random letters. Write down those letters as you see them and use them to solve this year’s holiday word.

 

“Grab your friends and family, get in the car with some hot chocolate and play some Christmas music while driving around to see the houses,” Reed said. “They are all so pretty this year.”

 

Email your answer by 7 p.m. Sunday to bridgeport@cardmyyard.com. All correct answers will be entered into a drawing. One lucky winner will receive a Card My Yard gift certificate to be redeemed in 2023.

 

Those solving the word puzzle will be announced Monday, as will the winner of the drawing.

 

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, one of three “Sleighed It” awards will be announced. A resident will be recognized for his or her holiday handiwork with a “Sleighed It” message by Card My Yard Bridgeport. “Sleighed It” awards will also be announced on Dec. 14 and 21 and the winner of the $300 cash prize will also be announced Dec. 21.
