Main Street Monday Photo Gallery: Locals Shop, Enjoy Music in Bridgeport's Downtown Corridor

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 23, 2017 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Monday evening was the first in a series of Main Street Monday events planned to promote  the downtown Bridgeport area. Fourteen businesses participated, opening their doors 5:30-7:30 p.m., offering specials and some hosting musicians and giving away chocolate treats. At each business visited, shoppers  could complete a ballot, providing multiple opportunities to win a ski package - an overnight stay and two lift tickets to Seven Springs- compliments of EZToUse.com. The ballots were gathered and on Tuesday, Vicki Angotti and Celeste Clutter drew the name of Melinda Oliverio who was contacted to claim her prize.

Participating businesses were Artworks, Massage Therapy Headquarters, In Harmony Jin Shin Jyutsu, Country Peddler, Holistic Health & Wellness Center, EZ to Use, Almost Heaven Desserts, The Vintage Shoppe, The Sanctuary, Della's Deli and Expressions. Bridgeport's Nat Frederick provided music at Almost Heaven and Annie Neeley was the featured  musician at The Sanctuary.
The next Main Street Monday is planned for March 20, which happens to be World Storytelling Day and will be the theme of the event. Sponsors are being sought to fund an appearance by renowned West Virginia storyteller Bil Lepp.

Business owners wishing to participate should contact Greater Bridgeport Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director Michelle Duez at michelle@connect-bridgeport.com. Main Street Monday is organized by the newly-formed Create Clarksburg+Bridgeport.
