It’s become a holiday tradition for many families:  After enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, it’s time for a shopping expedition. The season for enthusiastic shoppers begins on Thanksgiving night at Meadowbrook Mall, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.  When the main entrance doors near the Food Court open at 6 p.m., the first 500 people in line will be part of the SWAG Bag Giveaway, receiving bags filled discounts, special offers and prizes.  Enjoy Family Karaoke from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.  On Friday, November 23, the doors open at 6am for the Chocolate Rush.  The first 200 in line receive candy bars.  Inside the wrappers are vouchers for mall gift cards.  All prizes must be claimed at the Customer Service Center by 10pm on November 23.  Participants must be 18 or older and possess valid identification.

 

Saturday, November 24 is Small Business Saturday, the day when everyone in America is urged to get out and support small, locally-owned businesses.  Many shoppers may not know that they can find plenty of those at Meadowbrook Mall.   Great businesses like Folk Heart Designs, TRU South, Four Horsemen Comics & Games, Adam’s Hallmark and others are all owned and operated by local merchants.  Come out and support you friends and neighbors.
