More Photos of Jack Rollins Lantern Release

Members of the community; family, friends, former teachers - those who did and didn't know five-year-old Jack Rollins, but all who loved him - gathered Friday evening at Bridgeport Recreation Complex for a lantern release to honor his memory.

Jack's mother Brooke welcomed and thanked those who came out, many attired in Team Jack and superhero T-shirts and gear. Spiderman interacted with the many children who attended. Luminaries spelling out Jack's name were lit just prior to the lighting of the blue and red lanterns, which were released into the sky.

Jack Rollins died one year ago this week after battling neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer. A foundation has been created in his honor. Funds raised through donations and sale of Team Jack apparel will benefit children facing the disease and their families. Read more about the foundation and how to help HERE.
