The Spring/Summer issue of WV Weddings is in newsstands and again, a local couple is featured in the magazine, known as West Virginia’s premier wedding resource.

 

The June 28, 2014 nuptials of Keri Michelle Hays and Patrick Donovan Snell is captured in a two-page spread in the new issue.

 

“I think it turned out great, of course with hundreds of pictures you always wish there was room for more because there are so many special moments you want to share,” said Keri Snell.

 

The wedding took place at Immaculate Conception Church in Clarksburg, with the reception to follow at Bridgeport Conference Center. The co-owner/manager of House of Fashions in Charles Pointe, the bride wore a silk satin mermaid gown with a full illusion back with rhinestones and pearls and a cathedral-length embroidered veil with blusher. Her attendants wore gold knee-length A-line dresses and carried bouquets - created by Blooms Florist - of mixed roses and peonies in hues of ivory, pink and peach. 

 

Other highlights of the wedding celebration included the release of butterflies after the ceremony and wish lanterns at the conclusion of the reception. Snell said she and her husband’s special day was perfect and she’s happy to preserve those memories through WV Weddings.  

 

“I wanted to have it in the magazine so we could share our day with everyone that couldn't be there with us,” she said. “Weddings are expensive and as much as every bride wants every single person they know to be there with them, it's almost an impossible task.”

 

In addition to the two-page photo spread in the issue, there is a forthcoming story to be featured on the WV Weddings Web site in June, said Laura Rote, managing editor.
