The Allied Health Scholarship card party is held every spring to fund a scholarship to a senior at Bridgeport High School who is going into the medical field.

 

The members of the club prepare and serve the luncheon. Door prizes are awarded along with a 50/50 drawing held at the closing of the event.

 

The next event sponsored by the members is a Craft Party to be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Benedum Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be 18 local crafters bringing their wares to sell.  Also available for purchase will be barbeque sandwiches, pizza and hot dogs.  All are invited.

 

On June 1, 2019 the Club is having a Golf Tournament at Bel Meadows Golf Club.  All proceeds from this tournament will be donated to WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital.  Interested parties can contact any member of the club or call Co-Presidents, Barbara Wilburn 304-842-3395 or Brenda Swiger 304-842-4635.

 

Membership in the GFWC Woman's Club of Bridgeport is available to any lady who wishes to join.  Meeting are from September to May.  Most meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Benedum Civic Center.  Members of the Bridgeport Club enjoy helping with the community and the fulfillment of belonging to the largest volunteer woman’s club in the world.
