Parks and Recreation Offers July Painting Classes for Kids and Adults

Bridgeport Parks and Recreation will be offering painting classes in July at the Benedum Civic Center.
 
There will be a four-day painting session for kids, ages 6-14, from 9 a.m. to noon, July 13-16. The cost is $100 and all materials are included. All paintings will have an adventure/nature theme.
 
Two evening classes will be available for anybody 12 and older. Those two classes with from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 14 and July 28. The cost for the evening classes is $30.
 
All of the classes will have a maximum of 12 people per class as social distancing guidelines will be observed. All wishing to participate are also encouraged to wear masks.
 
Marsha Greenhouse will be the instructor for the classes.
 
"I'm really excited to offer painting classes this summer for both adults and kids," Parks and Rec Recreation Director Katie Squires said. "Marsha comes to us after many years teaching classes at A.C. Moore and other locations and has a great following. I've seen her work and love it. Paiting is such a fun, leisure activity that can be enjoyed by anyone, even those who don't think they have the artist talent can learn."
