Photos: Civic Center Gets Annual Christmas Makeover

Stepping into the Benedum Civic Center is a breathtaking experience at Christmastime. Once again, members of the Parks and Recreation staff have outdone themselves, creating a festive touch to every room and every corner of the ciity hub. In addtion to the interior makeover, the Civic Center lawn features a holiday element - a focal point for tomorrow's Light Up Night. The city Christmas tree was assembled Tuesday morning and Parks and Rec staff members were beginning to place the hundreds of colorful ornaments. Thursday, the tree will be lit by Brad Ford, chosen for the annual honor by the Associated Businesses of Bridgeport. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, but Light Up Night is 6-8 p.m. awlong Main Street.
