Several Local Young Ladies, including City Resident, Part of 2023 West Virginia Miss Amazing State Reps

West Virginia Miss Amazing is pleased to announce its 2023 State Representatives: 
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Preteen Co-Queens – Alanna Turner from Clarksburg and Elenore Johnson (not pictured) from Bridgeport
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Jr. Teen – Sadie Paul from Hurricane
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Teen – Raegan Nichols from Morgantown
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Jr. Miss –Jenna Hess from Fairmont
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Miss – Michelle Rice from Glen Morgan
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Sr. Miss – Jessica Cox (not pictured) from Shady Spring
  • West Virginia Miss Amazing Mentor - Carrie Davis from Clarksburg
Rising Stars who participated in the event were Kayleigh Kinsley-Davis of Morgantown and Aubrielle Demasi of Morgantown. Outgoing Queens in attendance were WV Miss Amazing Miss Queen Brianna King of Barrackville, Jr. Miss Queen, Chelsea Richards of Clarksburg, and Jr. Teen Queen Johnna Kay Ruth Mullennex of Parsons. 
 
Judges for the event were Melissa McAra, Sam Mano, and Kristy Belt. Flowers were provided by Coombs Flowers of Morgantown.  Photography services provided by Kori Lee Photography, Kori Leonard and Aubrey Ponton. Lunch for participants was provided by Jersey Mike’s and Penn Station Subs. Hair and Makeup for participants was provided by local volunteers as well as students from the Clarksburg Beauty School. The United Technical Center offered pampering services to the ladies on Friday to help them prepare for their big day. Emcee for the event was Jason Young. Miss West Virginia USA Krystian Leonard, crowned the participants and new queens. 
 
The representatives were chosen and announced at the 2023 West Virginia Miss Amazing event at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center on October 29, 2022. This event will be held annually in Clarksburg, WV. Save the date for next year’s event, October 7, 2023. Females aged 5 and up who have an IEP, IPP, 504 Plan, SSI, or physician’s note proving disability are eligible to participate. The event is FREE to participants. There is an option to opt-out of attending nationals and only participate at the one-day state event with no further obligation. Every participant receives a crown, trophy, and t-shirt.  Ladies of all abilities are welcomed and participants will be supported as needed. Assistive communication devices may be used and parents or volunteers may speak for them if needed.

Miss Amazing representatives are shining examples of the fact that girls with disabilities have diverse strengths and big ambitions. Over the next year, the West Virginia Miss Amazing Representatives will work together to serve their communities through volunteer service initiatives. They will also represent their state at the National Miss Amazing event, which will be held in Chicago, Illinois July 28-30, 2023.
