Sobriety Checkpoints Scheduled to Begin Late this Evening in Bridgeport

The Bridgeport Police Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints this evening from 9:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. The checkpoints may be conducted on either or both US Route 50 (Main Street) and/or Johnson Avenue within the city limits of Bridgeport. The following are alternate routes that may be taken to avoid the sobriety checks; Lodgeville Road & Route 58 to avoid Route 50 and I-79 north & south to avoid Johnson Avenue.
