In mid-December, Connect-Bridgeport shared concerns of Bridgeport High School Mark DeFazio regarding proposed chances to West Virginia Department of Education Policy 2510. Several proposals were under consideration, but DeFazio and educators at BHS were concerned about reduced graduation requirements and other reduced academic requirements. At that time, DeFazio urged residents to make their thoughts known to the West Virginia Department of Education or West  Virginia legislators.
