State DEP Project at Ridgeway Estates to Use Method of Repair Causing Loud Noise, Ground Vibrations

The City of Bridgeport is notifying residents that the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Abandoned Mine Lands and Reclamation Division, is working to secure a slip located at Ridgeway Estates. A technique called soil nailing will be performed during this project, and residents in the Ridgeway Drive, Point of View, and Sherwood Road areas may hear loud noises and feel ground vibrations during this time.
 
The soil nailing process, which will begin immediately, will take approximately one month to complete, and the work will be performed as follows:
 
Monday-Friday:  7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays:          7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
