UHC and New Blood Services Provider Central Blood Bank Hosting Blood Drive

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on August 17, 2017 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The public is invited to donate blood and help save the lives of area patients on Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at United Hospital Center, 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330. The blood drive will held in the first floor classrooms one and two.
Because each blood donation can be divided into three parts, donors can save up to three lives with each donation.

The drive is conducted by Central Blood Bank (CBB) in partnership with United Hospital Center (UHC). CBB has 65 years of experience and provides blood collection services in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio and West Virginia.

CBB is proud to be the new blood services provider for UHC. Blood drives are held the first Wednesday of every month at the hospital. In addition to UHC, CBB serves WVU Medicine, Ruby Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Medical Center, Jefferson Medical Center, Camden Clark Medical Center, Potomac Valley Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
