Visitation, Services Set for Noah Gonzalez

Noah “Gonzo” Victor Gonzalez, 18, of Bridgeport and recently of Sissonville, passed away Monday afternoon, July 17, 2017, in Charleston Area Medical Center. He was born in Clarksburg on May 6, 1999, a son of Hilary Blankenship Gonzalez, who survives in Bridgeport, and Daniel Gonzalez, who survives in Palatka, Fla. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Ashley Ervin of Sissonville; his older brother, Nathan Gonzalez, of Houston, Texas; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Bonnie Blankenship of Palm Coast, Fla.; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Margaret Gonzalez, of Clarksburg; Uncle, Matthew Blankenship and his wife Stephanie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Aunt Joy and Van Wildman of Raeford, North Carolina and Aunt Sue and Bobby Starr of Clarksburg and Uncle David Ferguson of Illinois; along with several cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Victor Gonzalez. Noah attended Bridgeport schools and graduated from the Mountaineer Challenge Academy in 2016. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and an active member of Clarksburg Chapter DeMolay. He also enjoyed playing football, wrestling and lacrosse. He loved animals, especially his two pet dogs Toes and Buster. Noah was full of life and wanted to give life after his work on this earth was done. Through CORE and organ donation, he was able to save several other lives. Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 21, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, with Reverend Michael Burge presiding. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
