BHS Welcomes Class of 2018

At tonight's Bridgeport High School freshman orientation, underclassmen participated in a scavenger hunt to familiarize themselves with their new school and faculty members. Students and their parents thereafter assembled in the auditorium where they were addressed by Principal Mark DeFazio, Vice Principal/Athletic Director Matt DeMotto and Vice Principal Mary Frances Beto Smith. Also sharing some words were BHS Prevention Resource Officer Jamie Hamrick, Athletic Boosters President Laura Kimble, Sports Boosters President Paul Smith, BHS Band Patrons President Dr. Mike Hess and student representatives of some of many extracurricular groups available at BHS. Some groups held on-site membership drives and sold T-shirts tonight. Some upperclassmen assisted with tonight's activities. Photos from tonight's event can be seen at the gallery link below.
