Bridgeport High School Announces Joseph Cain, Molly Layne as April Students of Month

Bridgeport High School has announced that Joseph Cain and Molly Layne are the April Students of the Month.
 
Joseph Cain is the son of Chuck and Christina Cain. He is the brother to Candace who is a third grader at Johnson Elementary.  Joseph has maintained a 3.36 grade point average throughout his high school academic career. Joseph is been an active member of student council his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He was on the executive board his senior year where he serves as Senior Class Historian.  In his senior year, Joseph was a letterman in football. Joseph is a member of the baseball team his senior year.  He attends All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport where he is an active member and teaches sixth grade Sunday school. In his spare time, Joseph works as a waiter at Twin Oaks. He also enjoys spending time with his friends, playing sports, and playing Xbox. Joseph plans to attend WVU in the fall where he will major in Exercise Physiology to prepare to become a Physical Therapist.
 
Molly Layne is the daughter of Jay and Joyce Layne. Molly is an active member of Student Council as an executive board member and was Junior class Secretary. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school, is a member of National Honor Society, French Honorary Society, and the Drug Free Club. She has been a varsity starter on the Bridgeport High School softball team for four years, serving as a team captain her senior year. Through her High School organizations, she has been active in community service including Shop for Tots, Operation Christmas Child, and the Heifer project and chairing this year's mission dinner. Molly had an amazing experience traveling through Europe last summer on her school trip with her best friends. She also worked at the Bridgeport Country Club pool. Molly has been accepted into the WVU Honors College and plans to major in Biomedical Engineering. She looks forward to her future as a Mountaineer.
