Cross from Demolished ABU Wilcox Chapel Resurrected on Campus

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 07, 2014 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Students, faculty, alumni and others involves at Alderson Broaddus University were deeply saddened last month when the historic Wilcox Chapel had to be torn down due to safety concerns. Last week, however, a project aimed at keeping part of that well-known piece of the AB campus began a resurrection.

According to WBOY, the cross from the top of the chapel was saved and is being re-erected on campus. The campus is now ground level, but keeps a piece of history in place at the school.
