GALLERY: Johnson Elementary Reflections Program 2014

By Julie Perine on October 21, 2014 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

What would make the world a better place? According to students of Johnson Elementary School, it could be anything from less littering and more recycling, cure for disease, a stop to bullying, helping hands, and love - the kind that makes the world go round. With that theme in mind, students entered this year's Reflections program and submitted creations in the form of visual art, literature, photography and video. On Monday, the approximate three dozen submissions were judged at the Benedum Civic Center. After judging, the artworks were relocated to Johnson Elementary School, where they will be available for browsing by members of the public at 6:30 p.m. today.

"It will be a gallery style," said Stacy Martin, project coordinator. "And we'll have light refreshments."

Announcement of winners is forthcoming here on Connect-Bridgeport.
