Kids Missing Snow Day School Meals May No Longer be Issue as Harrison BOE to Test Delivery Service

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 04, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

According to WDTV, the Harrison County Board of Education is testing a new meal plan so that kids don't go hungry on snow days.

The idea behind this new service is that it will allow meals to be delivered to kids who qualify on snow days. Some kids in the area often depend on school meals and on snow days they don't receive one from the school.

The county is going to test the service with a couple of schools to begin with and then see what works and what doesn't before deciding if they want to expand it.
