Simpson Elementary School PTA and Healthy Kids Inc. have partnered together to support the playground and other programs for the 2016 school year.

 

Cindy Smell, vice president of the Simpson PTA, said that the money from the fundraiser will be put towards playground upgrades that will occur in two phases.The first phase includes a new pavilion that will provide shade on the playground and allow teachers to have class outside.The second phase includes the installation of a new play set for the kids, exercise stations, new benches, and landscaping.

 

Healthy Kids Inc. is an innovative meal-planning tool that makes it easy to create fast, healthy meals for your family.It includes healthy recipes, pre-designed meal plans, a grocery list, and more. The program even lets you know which foods you should buy organic and which ones you can buy non-organic. Each recipe comes with a how-to video, so it’s a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen.

 

During the fundraiser, Simpson PTA will receive 50 percent of subscriptions purchased from parents, families, or friends. The fundraiser is starting this week and will run until the end of the month. Healthy Kids Inc. was at Simpson Elementary School on Tuesday, Jan. 19 where they kicked off the fundraiser in an assembly with the students.
