By Julie Perine on November 30, 2013 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Bridgeport Farmers Market’s got you covered. The organization will host its 2013 Holiday Market  tomorrow at Bridgeport Conference Center, located in the heart of Charles Pointe. Market hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Created by area artisans will be wood products, pottery, handcrafted jewelry and holiday ornaments, and alpaca woolen items. Also available for purchase are goat’s milk and lotions, all-natural beauty products and West Virginia Farmstead cheese gift sets, jams, jellies, maple syrup and baked goods. Farm to table foods include seasonal produce, grass-fed beef, farm-raised chicken, turkey, lamb, pork and rabbit.

Resident guitarist Russ Reppert will serve up tunes, special guest Chanticleer Children’s Chorus will be caroling and Santa will be meeting and greeting. Bridgeport Conference Center staff will serve a special market brunch using local market products. (Menu HERE.)

This year’s Holiday Market is a one-stop shop and comes at the perfect time, said BFM President Debbie Workman.

“It occurs during the busiest shopping weekend of the year and it is the day after Small Business Saturday,” she said. “We encourage people to shop not only local at the market but remember that these farmers, producers and artisans are also small business owners.  It keeps the money in our area.”

Workman also encourages residents to visit Bridgeport Farmers Market at Light Up Night this Thursday, Dec. 5. Booths will be set up along Main Street. More information on Light Up Night HERE
