Bridgeport's Fireman's Fair from 1972 and Taking a Little Road Trip Back to Parkette's Former Location

By Dick Duez on August 27, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This photo recently provided for the blog shows Blackwel at ceremonies involving the queen of the fair from 1972.

Many are familiar with the Parkette Restaurant located on old Bridgeport Hill today and many probably remember this version of it. For years, it was situated not too far from the current location near the entrance to Colombia Boulevard and the Harrison County Business and Technology Park.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
